Cape Cod Day 5: Bayside Talk at Wellfleet Bay (8/1)

On Wednesday night we went to Wellfleet Bay for the weekly Bayside Talk. Before the talk started I walked around the visitor's center and took a couple photos of the bay as the sun was going down. As I walked back to the center I noticed that one of the sanctuary's rabbits was being chased by a weasel of some sort. I couldn't tell if it was a Mink or a Long Tail Weasel but it was obviously hunting the larger rabbit. The prey and hunter dashed into the bushes before I could get a picture.

With that excitement over, I headed indoors for the talk. It was actually a two parter. The first speaker, John Teal, spoke about salt marsh restoration. He was followed by Tim Traver who read excerpts from his book Sippewissett: Or Life on a Salt Marsh. Both gave great presentations.
